This
trip leads us to Klungkung (Semarapura) , where you can dive
into the hustle and bustle of the traditional market.
Apart from fruits, vegetables, spices, clothes and household articles,
animals are sold as well. Afterwards we visit the former courthouse
, the remained kingdom palace where law was administered when the
island was under dutch control. Meal for your lunch can be served
at a local restaurant. Padangbai can be a visit also, the habour
for the ferries going to Lombok, the neighbouring island. We continue
our trip to Tirtagangga, a former royal baths and relaxation..
On the way back, we make our excursion to Selat,a village which
is famous for its snake fruit gardens and beauiful panorama
of padi field terraces.

Snorkling-Rice Terraces Tour

Through beautiful rice terraces we drive from Selat
via Tirtagangga to the east coast which we reach in the
course of the morning. The beach near Amed is perfect for
snorkling. In the restaurant of the hotel "Vienna Beach"
you can have lunch. On the way home we stop at Klungkung
(Semarapura) so that you can have a look at the wonderful court
house (Kerta Gosa) with its painted ceiling.

Temple-Volcano Tour

We visit the Kehen temple near the town Bangli. It is one
of the most beautiful sights, originates from the 11th century and
belongs to Balis most important sanctuaries. Kintamani where
the volcanic caldera of Mount Batur with its deep crater
Lake Batur shows a magnificent view. Meal for your lunch can
be served at one of the local restaurants. Driving down to one the
eldest monuments in Bali Goa Gajah, the 11th century elephant
cave. The nearby village Ubud is considered to be the island's
centre of arts . Here you can forage for a souvenir at innumerable
shops which offer arts and crafts of all kinds.
Art Museums or Monkeys Sanctuary is also worth to visit.

Full day tour visiting Batu Bulan Village for a spectacular Barong
Dance shows an unended internal fight between the good and evil
spirits and enjoing one of the most magnificent views of Kintamani,
overlooking the stunning view of Crater Lake and Mount
Batur. Lunch can be served at one of some recommended local
restaurants. En-route visiting Celuk which is famous for
silver and Gold smiths, Mas village famed for the fine woodcarving,
Ubud Village which is recommended as artist community,
Goa Gajah ( the 11th century elephant cave) and the holy
spring temple at Sebatu, and the rice terraces panorama
in Tegallalang.

Bedugul-Munduk-Pupuan-Tour

Using side roads we drive to Bedugul through Balis cool
mountainous regiona visiing a market where the locals sell orchids,
tropical fruits, vegetables and spices. On the bank of the Lake
Beratan there is a temple Ulun Danu sanctified to the
goddess Dewi Danu and god of the mountain Mahadewa.
Lunch can be served at a local restaurant. Passing two other lakes,
we follow the gradient road until the village Munduk, where
we take a rest at a hidden waterfall deeps in the jungle.
Driving through coffee, clove and coco plantations we reach the
day's last destination- the rice terraces panorama of Pupuan.

Batukaru-Jatiluwih-Tanah Lot-Tour

A trip visits the "butterfly park" at the village
of Wanasari, a temple of Batukaru which is situated in the
midst of the tropical jungle. Presumably built in the 11th century,
it is one of the sixth national sanctuaries on the island. The continuation
of our trip leads to Balis probably most beautiful rice terraces.
The terrassed rice fields of Jatiluwih stretch down until
the ocean. The panoramic sun set far behind the temple
of Tanah Lot represents the culminating end of the trip .
This sea side temple is honoured by all balinese people . It is
sanctified to the marine deity Baruna and from Him the balinese
ask for protection from the evil demons.

Uluwatu-Kecak Dance-Seafood Dinner

The trip starts in the late afternoon. On the southern most tip
of Bali, seventy meters above the sea on a rock, the Ulu
Watu temple is situated. Admiring the wonderful rocky
ocean view we also enjoy the scenic sunset and experience
a performance of Ramayana- kecak or monkeys dance . Afterwards
we drive to the beach of Jimbaran where a dinner is served.
The place is famous for its sea food dishes.

Mengwi Royal Temple-Alas Kedaton Monkey Forest-Tanah Lot

A half day excursion visiting Taman Ayun Temple, the former
royal temple of Mengwi Kingdom built in 17th century. Alas Kedaton,
the monkeys and big bat forest. Then to the legendary Tanah Lot,
the temple was built in the 16th century. Depending on weather,
we can catch fantastic view of sunset.

in Bali and we let you know how to make it. Stop wherever you want
and buy at places with on-site fabrication, e.g. silver works at
Celuk, woodcarvings at Mas, stone sculptures at Batubulan,
paintings at Ubud etc. Bali offers a substantial quantity
of arts and crafts, but pay attention to the costs of excess luggage
!
