Batur is one of the most sccred mountain in Bali, also could be considered
one of the wonders of world must be see to be beleived and a trip
to summit of volcano is a climb worth while with majestic views over
Lake Batur and on to Lombok highest mountain.The Volcanic caldera
of Mt. Batur with its myriad of down hills, shady ferny path, and
placid Lake shores of intensively cultivated vegetable gardens, offers
vast areas of picturesque hiking terrain. |
| Vulcano Batur erupted several time most recent in 1994 to 1997.
The last erupted in 1994 about 1 mounth from 1 of August with much
lava coming out mainly at night time over that period again in 7 of
November 1997 but mainly black sand and smoked. |
| Arrange guide at Puncak Sari for an early morning climb to the top
of the volcano to watch the mists clear and the sunrice at down. On
a fine day you can see all the way to Mt. Rinjani on the nearby island
of Lombok. |
